Visiting Cousins Bursary Program

Visiting Cousins and Family Kin are week-long summer camps open to children ages 9 - 14. Participants experience first-hand what life was like in New Brunswick in the 1800s.

Teachers, parents, and family members have observed that children who participate in the Visiting Cousins and Family Kin programs gain a marked increase in their self-confidence, pride in their new abilities, and an understanding of New Brunswick’s colourful heritage.

Connecting with that heritage physically and emotionally is a transformational experience for these children.

Your donation towards bursaries will help send 14 children to camp every year - children who would otherwise be unable to participate in this interactive and educational experience.

You can purchase a pewter leaf or a pewter apple on the Donor Apple Tree which will be engraved with your name in support of this worthwhile program.

Pewter leaf: $500 Pewter apple: $1000

We thank the family of Carl and Dorothy Loughrey for donating the beautiful wrought-iron sculpture that now shines in the Kings Landing Welcome Centre.

And we thank YOU for your tremendous support of future Visiting Cousins participants and alumni.
